Digipak - Jazz

The album I'm analysing is called 'Caught in the Act' it is the third live album released by Michael Buble on the 8th July 2005 who is a Canadian Jazz singer.

First of all the conventions that Michael Buble uses are that the actual case is made out of both plastic and card.

The images used are also very specific to the theme of the song and the type of artist Michael is. Being a jazz singer the images used are of jazz bands. These jazz bands are shown in dark/low lit places such as on stage. These types of images help to reinforce the theme Michael Buble is trying to portray. In addition to this images of the artist is used on the digi-pak. This helps the audience become familiar with the artist. On this specific digi-pak there are many images of the artist therefore following typical conventions.
The barcode is seen on the back of the pack along with the song titles which is a convention also. Furthermore the artists name appears on the spine too. To continue the theme of jazz- Michael Buble is seen in the spot light images which also complies with typical conventions.

The front cover of the album has the artists image.
The first compartment holds the disc in this album also and the second compartment holds another disc. The back compartment is were all the tracks and numbers are listed. These typical conventions apply to Buble's album 'caught in the act'.

The digipak used for this album along with all its images relate to the genre of the music and the artist. They match the stereotypical conventions of a digipak.
