Most Controversial Music Videos - (s)AINT - Marilyn Manson

 (s)AINT - Marilyn Manson

Marilyn Manson is an American musician, songwriter, actor, painter, multimedia artist and former music journalist known for his controversial stage personality and image as the eponymous lead singer of the band Marilyn Manson, of which he co-founded with Daisy Berkowitz and he remains the only constant member. His stage name was formed by juxtaposing the names of two American cultural icons, namely actress Marilyn Monroe and Manson Family leader Charles Manson

His public image earned him a reputation in the mainstream media as a controversial figure and a negative influence on young people

The 2003 video for Marilyn Manson’s “(s)aint” features scenes of self-mutilation, full female nudity, masturbation, cocaine snorting and cunnilingus, so perhaps it’s not at all surprising that parent label Interscope Records refused to release it in the U.S. The video, which Manson financed himself, was aired in Japan and Germany, but the genitalia and sexual acts were blurred. Yet despite the overly graphic scenes in the unedited version.
