Lighting
Lighting in a music video is generally called expressive lighting. The reason why it is called expressive lighting is because the lighting is used by the artist in order to emphasize the message behind the song and also is used as simply and effect to complement the vibe and setting of the music video.
Extreme artificial light is used in music videos to create some what of a bleaching effect ,mainly in pop music videos, on pop stars faces, this makes the pop star look ageless. The lighting is used to make the pop star look desirable and create the image of a perfect pop star.
Strobe lights are normally used in club anthems and hip hop music videos to give the feel that this song is a party song. also the strobe lights are used to match the rhythm and beat of the song and normally appear during the chorus of the song.
